Lamp posts

One of the solar lamps we have installed in the Rohingya refugee ‘mega camp’ in Bangladesh. We are trying to work out the impact of grey monsoon skies on their functionality. Groups of Rohingya women and men in the camp have been trained to maintain them. Someone climbed up the pole and tried to steal the battery from one but our maintenance volunteers were alerted and chased him away. The camp feels sadder than it did 6 months ago when I was here last. Future prospects are bleak, everyone is just surviving day by day.
