A lovely get-together...
...with the ex-colleagues...
We remain the sort of friends who don't see each other for months, and can just slot back into conversation as if we last met only yesterday ;)
A day of mainly eating and chatting, with a walk thrown in just to make room for more cakes...
On our walk we came upon patience personified - a man sitting on the verge of a green lane with stone walls each side, sporting a rakish hat and a large camera lens. We asked what he was looking for, and he told us about the Wall Brown butterflies, who apparently love such a habitat. The males are here, apparently, and the females will follow, and there is quite a concentration of them in our area. He was waiting patiently for them to find him - he has photographs from previous seasons, but wouldn't pass up another shot. It's amazing what you learn in search of a blip ;)
Anyhooo - my shot is clearly not a Wall Brown, but I was fairly patient trying to capture it before we walked merrily on our way...
Not much time for blip over the last few days, so I'll catch up as and when - hope you are patient too ;)
