Meet the neighbours!
We are lucky enough to be surrounded by heathland which has attained the status of SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and has to be properly maintained in order to keep this award. The 'scientific interest' is a rare grass which, if the area were just to be allowed to go its own way would become extinct.
Part of the maintence is to allow cows to graze at certain types of the year and this year we have 6 Norwegian Reds which are so tame they are more like pets.
This morning I decided to try to capture them on camera and found myself talking to them to get them to pose for me. That was until another neighbour, human and walking her dog, heard the rather onesided dialogue!
