Never Further from a Beach

Sand art comes to Walsall.  You can't get much further from the coast than our town, but it hasn't stopped this enterprising street entertainer from creating this sand sculpture in the middle of the main shopping street in Walsall.

We were thinking about what the typical high street will look like in 20 years.  Certainly Walsall will have changed after losing the likes of Woolworths, BHS and soon Marks and Spencer from this street.  It will be difficult to imagine what will draw people to these areas in years to come.  We'd only popped in to see the new Mission Impossible film (by the way an enjoyable couple of hours of escapism) rather than shopping.
