Gaudy and Exquisite

Today our car was booked in for renewal of Warrant of Fitness and I had to be up early to get the car to the testing station. Had a wander around the local streets whilst the car was being tended too. I love looking in other peoples front gardens.

This fluffy specimen was hiding amongst some average household weeds and reminded me of a lost drag queen or lady of the night. Incongruous in any setting! Gaudy and exquisite at the same time...

Does anyone know its name?
