Pillar Box

This pillar box stands at Eastgate in Warwick. It was cast in Birmingham by the Eagle Foundry in the second half of the 19th century. It is shaped like a Doric column and it is one of a pair. The second pillar box stands at Westgate. The 'V R' shows that it was installed during the reign of Queen Victoria.
