Dropped, shopped and flopped

After we'd dropped our daughter in Totnes and waved her train off, we went on a shopping trail that took us to Torquay via Newton Abbot. The top two pictures in my collage are of the floral welcome to the Torquay area spelling out English Riviera. With the heatwave returning, this summer Torbay and Start Bay are certainly living up to this name. The bottom picture is of the imposing Dartmouth Royal Naval College. It sits on the hill behind the town and this view is from the lower car ferry that crosses the Dart from Kingswear.
