HMRC sent me a letter thanking me for submitting my tax form for the year, yesterday I received another letter telling me that they had paid my refund. Interestingly I had received my refund already, before both letters arrived, and I didn't actually need to pieces of paper sent at tax payers' expense in the post to confirm it... No matter they gave me my money back in the end...
