Wow, I just realized that is my first vertically oriented photo thus far. I should really try to take some more vertical shots.
No, I did not inflict pain upon myself just so that I could have another CSIish item to submit as evidence. Well, not intentionally, anyway.
Tonight was Concept + Layout, and I had to present my randomly selected shoe brand Irregular Choice (www.irregularchoice.co.uk) to the class, so I thought it would be fitting to wear one of my funkier shoes - a pair of red kitten-heeled pumps by steve madden. Not wild and unconventional by any means - I would say that I am overall a pretty conservative and 'safe' dresser - but they're still fun and flirty, just like the wide assortment of shoe candy available for sale online at Irregular Choice.
I hadn't worn them for awhile, and today, I was painfully reminded as to why. The backs of the shoes kept rubbing against the backs of my heels, so much so that the left side started bleeding and then, stinging and bleeding. I don't know why I have the worst luck with shoes - they usually break me before I manage to break them in. Sigh.
The lengths us women go to for fashion. Style over comfort and practicality? Perhaps, but I draw the line when it starts to draw blood. The edge of dried blood around the raw, open wound reminds me of a stroked object.
And oh yes, it stung like a you-know-what when I took a shower.
