Nature is awesome

Today we had an action packed day. After a good breakfast we drove to the Golden Circle, were we first visited Geysir - a geothermal area which gave the world the word geysir. The Geysir (see extra) does not ‘explode’ so regularly anymore, but Stokkur does. On the main photo Pippa and Abbie are trying to capture the eruption with their phones. Afterwards we drove a little further to Gulfoss (the Golden waterfalls, see extra) - an absolutely magnificent waterfall! After dropping off our luggage at our guesthouse for the night, we drove to Lake Silfra, where we got all geared up to snorkel the fissures. This means we snorkelled in between the Eurasian and American tectonic plate! No photos yet...
