A Bee and a Blip
A group of us met this afternoon at Ascott House, a National Trust property near Leighton Buzzard. It was hot and sunny. We started with a picnic, then wandered through the House (no photography allowed!) and grounds before ending, in traditional blipmeet fashion, in the tea shop.
Ascott is a property that was created as a family home and one where the current Rothschild incumbent still spends a lot of time. Despite being rather grand, with Stubbs featuring on most wall and plenty of fine porcelain on display, it does have a definite feel of being lived in.
I was determined to get at least one image with a bee in focus - I managed a handful from the large number I took!
The extra is the group posing in our ancient Morris, complete with dog. Pepper was only allowed in the car parking field and not in the gardens which disappointed us. I will perhaps have to have a word in the right ear.....
