Work-out in the park
Son Huw and I dropped into the Whitworth Gallery without knowing that there was an exhibition of Goya and Hogarth prints.
Recommended if you're in Manchester and interested to reflect on how little society has changed over the past 2 or 3 centuries.
"Both outsiders, Hogarth and Goya cast their candid gazes on their dysfunctional societies. Poverty, homelessness, warfare, violence, cruelty, sexual abuse and human trafficking, social inequity, political corruption, racism, superstition, hypocrisy, rampant materialism, nationalism, mental illness, and alcoholism all were subjected to their forensic scrutiny."
