48ers
This lovely charabanc transported the folk who were born in the classic year of 1948 and their friends and transported them to Bellever on Dartmoor where a day of fun, food (and perhaps a little drink) awaited them. Marian and I decided after a busy week that we needed to take a little time before getting ourselves there rather than getting the bus which was leaving at 9.00 in the morning. We left somewhat later than that and still got to Bellever before the bus.
It was a perfect day with some warm sun, a little breeze and some dappled shade from the trees on the banks of the river. We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco. We played cricket, boules and badminton and had a sing along with John and I playing guitar and leading the songs. There was quite a lot of chatter too.
I've added an extra of the organising 48ers and one of the view of the clapper bridge and a few of the folk who can always be seen in this popular picnic area. It's been a lovely day.
