Blue-eyed Darner

I finally got one of these guys to sit still!  They are very common and I've been chasing them since May but they never seem to land.  This morning I was up early so I decided to go to see if the Yellow-headed Blackbirds were around.  I didn't see any but I'm so happy that I found this beautiful dragon instead.  I also saw three trees like the one in the extra, already starting to show fall colors.  I'm ready!!

I am grateful that I got out with my camera early and went on to have a productive day getting things organized at home. :-)
