Lift

The birds were wheeling and chattering tonight. I love the way they sit, like a thousand chattering kids on a lunch break, then whumpf, they lift all at once.
We travelled down to Castletownbere this afternoon, the Beara Arts Festival is on among other things down there and the work of Maurice Henderson who died last summer is celebrated. A pleasant trip and a long chat with Dorothy, a colleague, the heart and soul of Castletownbere library, chair of the Arts festival and an all round lovely person.
