Greece Holiday Day 4

8/8/2018 - It had become very late the previous evening before we found a sign next to two new bungalows on an isolated spot alongside the road and were able to get one of the small self-contained apartments. There was nobody else staying and the owner's house some distance away,

Sparse and clean with no more than a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and a small terrace overlooking a dusty plot of unfenced land and nobody or thing to disturb us.

Suited us fine and we decided to stay a couple of days. The totally isolated beach was a short drive away and ideal for launching the boat. I think on the two days on the kilometre-long sandy clean beach, we saw perhaps two other couples. No buildings, bars or facilities to be seen and late afternoon, we used the boat to sail to the nearest town to buy food and drink for the next days beach picnic and the evening meals we cooked at home - Angie showed a great talent for making lovely fresh Greek salad with lots of cheese, olive oil, cucumber, tomato  ..... and as always when on hoilday, the local wine tasted great.

Very relaxing.
