Greece Holiday Day 5
8/8/2018 - Text to follow and proper photos rather than video still collage.
Late afternoon leave the south west tip and drive through the middle of the Peloponnese peninsula to the Corinth Canal separating it from mainland Greece. Then along the coast road to find a hotel somewhere on the western approaches to Athens, near Piraeus port.
Several "normal" Greek wildfires seen during the drive. In the photo with the moored tanker near Piraeus, a flying boat was scooping up water to try and help control one of the fires we saw today. Perhaps the tanker was there to °calm° the waters for the plane.
Found a modern small "strange" (mirrors on the bedroom ceiling) suburban hotel, clean and quiet and had a pleasant outdoor meal in a nearby restaurant with a few more cats than normal to accompany us.
