Sloe berries
In nearly eight years of blipping I've don't think I've ever blipped sloe berries before. Don't they have a lovely bloom to them!
We walked out to the headland today, the first time since Mr PP's new hip. (He's handling - or footling? - walking on uneven surfaces a lot better now.) Looked down on Landcombe Cove - recently busy with bathers and boats - to find it peopled only by gulls (see Extra). And looking further across to Blackpool Sands, which has been seething with holiday makers, it was completely empty. It's not cold today by any means, but it is cooler than it has been, with a light, refreshing breeze and thin cloud cover with blue peeping through. A very nice, more traditionally temperate, English summer's day!
