Hammocks

Looking out the window this morning, after a comfortable mid-journey-home stopover at the Ibis Hotel in Yffiniec, we were glad we'd not booked into Ibis Budget. Especially as it rained overnight!

We're now one third of the way across the Channel aboard the Brittany ferry from Roscoff to Plymouth, watching white peaks rise and fall on the sunlit waves. Several degrees cooler than our time in the Loire valley!

Things we're looking forward to when we return to England: clean public loos - complete with doors, seats, soap and water, rectangular pillows, and vegetables. And a hot bath!

Things we'll miss: floral roadsides and roundabouts, châteaux (though British castles are good, too), name-signs of towns crossed out in red as you leave a place, cheap(er) fuel.
