Adventure

I've been in London staying with my pal Birgit. The rain last night gave this mornings garden a dectinctly Autumn feel. 
The extra : Birgit eating breakfast in the sun and Constable country from the train.
I went to see Thomas Cole at the National Gallery. A self taught English painter who emigrated to America with his family in 1815 and founded the American School of landscape painters. He was very influenced by Turner and Constable. The surprise bonus was 2 huge paintings by Turner and Constable that I'd not seen before. I went back this morning for another dose. The landscape from the train coming home seemed very similar to what Constable would have seen
