The calm before the storm
WideWednesday: The calm before the storm
"Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out on loan
Riders on the storm.
There's a killer on the road
His brain is squirming like a toad
Take a long holiday
Let your children play
If you give this man a ride
Sweet family will die
Killer on the road, yeah.
Girl you gotta love your man
Girl you gotta love your man
Take him by the hand
Make him understand
The world on you depends
Our life will never end
Gotta love your man, yeah."
The Doors ~ Riders on the Storm
Perhaps not the sort of image you might have been thinking of to illustrate this week's Wide Wednesday challenge of calm. It really is not that sort of a sunset at all. Its rather more apocalyptic than that.
I was originally intending to upload a picture of the rainmaking lovely ripples on the pond taken with flash, with a jokey tag of "Wet Wednesday". Now I know that Wet Wednesday isn't even a thing, but for the first time in a very long time we've had one today and the garden, plants and wildlife are all going to be rather grateful of that. However, just as I was about to publish I realised that this was happening just outside my window and I recognised that it really was much too good a sunset to miss out on.
