To swim or not to swim?

Checked out my local tarn for swimming possibilities. Most of it is fenced off as a private fishing lake but I thought I would just check the open access bit. The scene was very peaceful, loads of birds, no sign of any fishermen but the unfenced off bit in the foreground was muddy , shallow with signs of cattle hoof prints. Not suitable for a calm swim but suitable for Wide Angle Wednesday "calm"
