bluebell woods - best viewed on black background

With very little sun today and temperatures which are 'refreshing' l decided not to go out plein air painting but used some photos to recreate a painting of the bluebell woods nearby.  l always love the light you get in a beech wood in spring... the actual painting is more spring green than is showing up on the photo but l cannot seem to improve it tonight.  Someone will be able to tell my why the camera doesnt pick up on some colours very well.  Usually it makes it too blue... and that appears to be what is happening here.. or at least a lack of yellow.  Hmm.. 

An exciting start to the day when l went down to get my tyres changes with my appointment... seemingly before 9 they had a difficult customer and while l was there he came back ranting and raving.. the receptionist was caught between an angry customer and a feisty defensive mechanic... she was pushing them apart as fists were clenching and chests were puffing.. for a moment l wondered if l should intervene but instead things calmed down and Mr Disgruntled drove off.  I do hope he didn't cause more trouble later
