Back in the room..
5,4,3,2,1....and you're back in the room!
Woke up today a TOTALLY DIFFERENT PERSON!!! I'm back; energy and serotonin levels replenished. Made me realise how exhausted I must have been these past few days. Today I felt amazing in contrast.
Great morning with Audrey, she has a new toy. A Baby Einstein (very kindly dispatched from my cousin's house in Watford). She stands in it and can swivel around and play with lots of different parts of it - things that rattle, beep, sing, squish etc. She loves it! We call it Audrey Control Centre as she has this slightly demonic look on her face when she's in it - as though she is somehow ruling the world!
She is best in the morning so after realising that overstimulating her in the afternoons is a one-way ticket to Planet Meltdown, I've decided to do play time first thing from now on.
Once Audrey had finished landing aircraft and guiding cruise missiles, off she went into the pram. Wellies on we headed down to the nature reserve for some Leaves Therapy.
Back just in time for a coffee with Gemma at Beech Rd cafe before The Switch. Gemma took Audrey and carried on her walk while I headed back to the office to do some work/calls etc.
Finally switching back over around 3pm, just in time for the NCT girls to arrive at my house for afternoon tea. It was lovely. At one point three babies (including Audrey) were screaming (ah, the dreaded 'missed nap') and my neighbours (terraced house) must have wondered what the hell was going on!!
We managed to get a few of them assembled on the rug for their group shot. I am slightly concerned that Audrey has what looks like a 'sniper target light' on her belly. Maybe now she's a world leader, someone's out to get her. Comes with the job I guess!
