Outlaws and Polling Stations

Average day. Dentist in the morning (new teeth finally finished!) followed by a few errands in town (had a lovely coffee and breakfast with my laptop for company in this cafe in the Northern Quarter pictured) - then it was home to take Audrey out in the pram followed by a conciliatory meeting of sorts with the In-laws.

Well, sort of conciliatory. Not a lot was said but what wasn't said couldn't have filled a library. Awkward! This rift is going to take some healing. Unfortunately I think it will just take time and can't be rushed. Not my favourite way to spend an afternoon put it that way! And I have a whole day of it to look forward to on Saturday now too. Help!

In other news, my husband and I popped out to vote for a new local Police Commissioner although judging from the turnout, I think we were in the minority.
