Sunday morning in East Village, NYC
Apart from class mate, this scene looks quiet as we headed to a really interesting take on church - Middle Collegiate Church.
I attended the services there on the 2 Sundays that I have been in New York/ New Jersey. The first time I went to see how reality compared to the church described by their pastor in one of the books set for the intensive. "A Pentecost Paradigm" for those who are curious. I went back a second time because I wanted to.- and I encouraged some of my class mates ( and fellow Episcopalians) to come as well.
When we emerged bacl onto this street an hour or so later, the place was jumping with activity, open air dining and fun.
After lunch, I took myself on the (free) Staten Island ferry for an adventure of a more touristy kind.
I have attached 2 extras - the obligatory Statue of Liberty shot from the ferry and a tiny little door found on the street of the photo. It contained a even tinier QR code which revealed a site with silent films and other curious slightly naughty things thay you might just see if you peeked through the key hole!
