A very long but smooth journey home.

Alarms went off at 4.30am in Mithatpaşa in Ayvalik, and we arrived home in Southgate, London at 8.30pm Turkish time, or 6.30pm local time.

It’s always surreal, travelling so far in one day. I have mixed feelings about being home.
