The end of the line
This morning's bike ride took me to Pointe de Grave at the tip of the Gironde peninsula. Across the mouth of the Gironde you can see the town of Royan. It was actually a bit further than I thought, but nevertheless, an easy 32 miles of almost flat terrain. I'm not sure what the old railway tracks running to the end of the pier were for, but they are obviously some old industrial relics (something for me to google in my spare time).
The last part was along one of the excellent cycle tracks of which there are many round here - see extra.
This is another phone shot, as my current desire to travel light and fast when on the bike means the usual camera stays behind.
