All the way to the top

The forecast for today wasn't too good so we headed out early and got the first train from Vitznau up to the top of Mt Rigi. We were certainly in one of the vintage trains ... each group of seats had their own wooden door.

E and I opted for some privacy and great views so we sat on camping stools in the luggage area .... not the most comfortable seats in the world but we could move easily from side to side and admire the scenery as the train slowly chugged its way to the top.

Although we had great views it was hard to get a really good picture ... train kept moving and trees kept blocking the view.

The rain started just as we were walking back to the hotel and it's now being accompanied by the thunder ..... guess we won't be sitting by the lake for dinner tonight :-(
