On top of the mountain

The vintage train arrived at Rigi Kulm and from there it was a 5 minute walk, for the young and fit, or a 10 minute walk, for those of more mature years, to get to the summit.

I left E sitting in the terrace cafe while I quickly scooted(!)up the shorter path. Unfortunately the best view of the sign was from behind but there was no info on that side.

While we were enjoying a lovely hot chocolate we could see that the weather was beginning to change and the promised rain clouds loomed large and dark.

We returned to Weggis by cable car and just as we neared the hotel the heavens opened and the thunder clapped. The second extra is the view from our balcony as the torrential rain fell.
