Magic with junk

We went to the Old Brewery in Cromarty to see an exhibition by Mark Stevens, ‘Spaceships from the rubbish dump.’
An amazing collection of 11 models all made from other people’s rubbish from old speakers to windscreen wipers. All beautifully put together and painted.
It was interesting trying to work out what the parts were in a previous life. We had a good chat with the create who has been working on them for over 23 years. Some can take up to 18 months to make.All made in a small room in Evanton.
One of Stevens colleagues is making a film about his work and the ideas behind it.
I had my dates muddled up and thought it was the Kilcoy Castle open garden but it’s next week.Luckily we went to Redcastle instead and watched Four Osprey , two dived and caught a fish not far from us. I did not have the big lens with me though but did not manage a distant shot.
Had a quick glimpse of a weasel in the garden this morning.
