Beasts of burden

We saw these guys as we got off the line taxi (a mini-van taxi), near our home. I'm not sure what they were carrying - flour, teff (the local grain, which goes into injera), or coffee? The donkeys never seem to be too unhappy, or too happy. Resigned to their fate, perhaps.
