Walking on Sand
Another busy day - I was in the outdoor pool before 9am this morning, swam 50 lengths and then had a relax in the jacuzzi and was on my way home by 9.45am. Then I had a lunch date with Marilyn before I was due to start work at 2pm and we met at La Forchette, one of the French restaurants in Hove. The food is excellent and they have a two course lunch menu for £12! It was lovely to see Marilyn and to catch up on her news.
Work was busier than ever, not only do we have our usual patients, but we get a lot of tourists at this time of year that can't see an NHS doctor, and today has been one of those days where I could have done with an extra pair of hands.
When Alan came to pick me up, I asked him to bring my camera with him as low tide was as the same time as sunset, so I was hopeful of getting some nice reflections in the sand. So once I'd finished and locked up, we walked down to the beach, but it was very blustery and there were quite a lot of waves, also the sunset didn't come to much, so it was a little disappointing. It was nice to walk on the sand though, and there were lots of seagulls which I managed to capture as they set off in flight. I also took a shot of one with a mussel in it's beak which I've added to my extras.
Thinking of CharlotteJ and her family today xx
