Boy vs Beast

It has been book week at Flynn’s school ...he has been completely crazy about reading lately much to the delight of myself and Jaiya ...who have been known to devour books at a very fast rate.
The other day when the library had books for sale he wanted a couple of books so badly that he got up at 6.30....fed the animals..... did his little jobs ...dressed and made his breakfast.....so we could get to school early to buy them........don’t worry he is back to his recalcitrant self by now.

Today they all dressed up as their favourite character.......he is the boy in Boy vs Beast...Jaiya made his fabulous bow from cardboard and silver gaffa tape...such a great job......we both shed a tear watching all those kiddywinks parade around in their costumes...they were just fabulous.

My poor Mum has taken ill again so I downed a few painkillers for my shoulder and took the drive up the coast(first time I have driven so far in a couple of months) to make sure she saw the doctor........those two old folk are such a worry at times.
