A long day

It is Falmouth week, a regatta, and lots of events going on. The highlight being the Red Arrows display this evening. The display was on the other side of town to previous years so I suggested that it would be good to see from Pendennis Castle as we are English Heritage members. The castle was also holding a special Tudor event with lots of activities going on. We arrived about 11.30 and were entertained the whole day from the executioner, falconry displays, knights on horseback, archery, jousting and minstrel musicians... who got Mr C to join in playing the cymbals;-D A really lovely day although the weather was a lot cooler and cloudier than yesterday. The red arrows did a wonderful display, as always. Time to head home and pick up fish and chips on route.

Well, that was the plan. Our usual 15 min journey turned into 2 hours due to volume of traffic and being in Cornwall the chippy closed at 7.30! We arrived home at 8.30pm and mum, bless her, knocked up a mushroom pasta.

The sun made an appearance on our way home and I grabbed this out of the car. A couple in extras but not great.
