Random act of kindness

So there I was with my blip all lined up.
Off I went to vote for the Police and Crime Commissioner and duly took a photo of the polling station sign for today's blip.

The words were all planned as well, to remind you of the schools of thought about voting. There's the "Don't vote it only encourages them!" school and the "If you don't vote you can't complain" camp

But all that went out the window when I got home and opened the package that contained this.

I love random acts of kindness but I'm usually the purveyor. Today I have been on the receiving end of this completely unexpected, unnecessary, yet totally wonderful surprise.

The accompanying letter said London 2012 would not have been the same without people like me.

I have been as overwhelmed by this kindness as much as all the other wonderful things that have happened to me this year.

The purveyor of this kindness knows who they are and I am so very thankful.
