Sailing sojourn

A 2:30 am start saw us in the way to Venice where we duly arrived early in the afternoon, still shocked at having to pay over 40 euros for a tunnel under the Alps.
A late flight took us down the spectacular coast of Croatia. This island, Susac, stood alone but from the plane it seemed to be floating above the sea. Into Kefalonia (the spelling of which seems entirely at the writer's disposition) and an hour's taxi across the island saw us arrive at Stefi, our home for the next five nights, and meeting up with M&E our hosts.
A meal at the local Greek taverna confirmed one's fears about Greek cuisine.
