FlowerFriday17_2018 Lisianthus

Today we invited Violet's friend Sonia for lunch, along with her Mummy and Grandma.  What a lovely day we had: everyone ate plenty and the girls played and played...my extra shows them in one of their many changes of dressing up outfits.  I think that between them they tried on every costume  and accessory that I have available!
My 'real' flower blip is of a beautiful bunch of supermarket lisianthus.  As I've done before, I photographed them in the front room, by the window, with the magnolia tree in the front garden providing the soft focus background.
Tomorrow is a big day for Violet as she will be having her tonsils removed.  She is too young to really appreciate what exactly will happen but understands that when she wakes up after her op, those troublesome tonsils will have gone and with them, all those dreadful bouts of illness that she's suffered so often of late.
