The Voyage Home
My time in Edinburgh has ended and I am now home. My ‘last hurrah’ is a shot of the Scott Monument. It was built after Sir Walter Scott’s demise in 1832 following a competition and dominates Princes Street. Just one event today, I attended the session on American War by Omar el Akkad. I t is categorised as sci-fi, but doesn’t read like that. A very interesting read and session. Then it was back to Waverley and the return south. The train carriage had toilet problems so I was pleased to get away from the smell. Then across London to Waterloo and home. Mr D collected me from the station, which was much appreciated. I had a great week.
