Warborrow Bay, seen from Flowers Barrow, Dorset.
Flowers Barrow is a large 2,500 years (Iron Age) fort.... or rather its remaining half. Coastal erosion is responsible for the disappearance of its southernmost side.
The white tint in the water comes from the slow but relentless dissolving of the chalk cliffs below this viewpoint. Perhaps in 2,500 years time nothing will remain of the Hill Fort.
PS We have this morning had our first rainfall since mid-June..... but only one inch of it.
