St John's Church, Yeovil
The luxuriant growth in the churchyard is almost sub-tropical with young banana trees, tobacco plants and all sorts. The tubs around the town have courgettes and runner beans as has the tourist information centre in Petter Street. It is refreshing to see (especially since most of our garden flowers wilted away in the drought). The church was built in the late 14C and is Grade I listed. Inside the stained glass windows are beautiful as there are so many of them.
T, K and granddaughter and J from Aussie came to supper. I made a lasagne then suddenly realised he and his family are Italian! But I think he enjoyed it. A happy time.
