Castle Walk (Friday 17th August 2018)

I was on way back from pootling around Calne when I encountered this curious kitten at the front of the drive to his home at the top of the path that leads from Chaveywell to Castle Walk.

I'd been taking photographs for Flower Friday but a cat trumps a flower, especially as it is Black Cat Appreciation Day, so my intended blip has become an Extra.

It was the first time I'd paired my newly reconditioned 55-300 lens with the full frame K1 (for which it is not designed). Apart from slight vignetting at some focal lengths, it worked fine, given me a range from 55mm at full frame to 450mm in crop mode. The cat was taken in crop mode (290mm equivalent - so I could have taken it full frame!).
