A day filled with the resurgence of warm, familiar feelings. November 1995, I began my life again, back in the state of Oregon, and this time of year, many warm feeling of 'starting fresh' are stirred.
Tonight, we attended an interesting event, one that interests me far more than a Holiday craft fair, it was the customer appreciation event at Farr's True Value Hardware. This is an event that husbands and wives attend together. Friends attend together. The Young Bucs play music for 2 hours while customers walk around with 5 gallon buckets they were given at the door, and winning numbers that they compare to pieces of paper taped to the floor, to see if they won anything. Free hot dog dinners and an overall sense of fun. It's totally silly how much we looked forward to this event. It's crowded and there are lines and it's just silly, but we love it.
