Thursday: Marin

This is Marin who, together with his father, Ante, owns our favourite restaurant.  It is somewhere we always take friends when they come to visit, as was the case tonight.  It is partly the food, which is excellent, but also the fact that Marin is such a nice guy!  He proudly showed us a new photo on his wall tonight - namely of Hillary Clinton eating there when she was recently in town for one night.

Marin says he is a bit tired as he has a new baby who is keeping him up.

Our friends, Frank N Bev, arrived today for a long weekend so I am expecting a weekend full of snacks, treats and adventures!

This photo is far from perfect but it is the first time I have summoned up the courage to ask someone I know moderately well, as opposed to really well, if I can take their photo so that is a step forward.  I am hoping to try more of this sort of thing thanks to Kendall who has told me exactly which lens I need to put on my Christmas list.
