Sparrowhawk
Back blip
A late-afternoon / early-evening walk around Chacefield Wood, near Denny.
It was a most relaxing hour or so, with only the noise of the breezy wind and occasional rain showers against the trees, plus the chirping of various birds providing the soundtrack. Didn't even see that many people. Bliss!
One particular bird call caught my attention. It sounded like a bird of prey, but I wasn't sure which one. Certainly there was a scattering of various smaller birds at one point, so something had obviously spooked them. After a few minutes I spotted this fellow flying between the trees and, thankfully, he stayed in one place long enough to have his portrait taken.
