Feathered

I had to go in to the hospital this morning (on my day off) for my pre-assessment, in preparation for the upcoming knee replacement.  

On the way home, I stopped by the High Ash Farm parking corner, where I had noticed this stump (which has a sign attached about the seeding of the field) a few weeks ago.  Someone has put a lot of work into planting the feathers - do they expect to grow birds?

Once home, I have to report that I spent some time catching and disposing of caterpillars and cocoons.
