Today we had a very important mission. We needed oak leaves for a flower decoration for Grandpa’s burial tomorrow. The funeral service was in June, but the burial is tomorrow.

Fortunately, there are many oaks here, so we went out into the former training grounds of his old infantry regiment. This is along the way. Lots of people and dogs were out on this rather warm and sunny day. I wore the T-shirt that used to belong to my best friend forever Dolly. The Royal Wagby Club!

Mum has been busy making the rose heart this afternoon. You can see it in the extra. I’ve been snoozing and supervising, very content after the great morning walk.
