Highly Unsprung

Misty morning pastimes

Crammed in the rainy day stuff in our 1 and only day of rain. Saying hi to the resident stoat - galloping past with glee with a poor fat vole in his mouth - and the latest muckle lambs and their hardy mums using the windows tae hiv a richt guid scratch. And then out we go.

Toasties at Flossies - served by the most stoned dude ever - mahoosive cake consumption at Drumbeg, lovely gin and a stock up of my favourite wine from Drumbeg stores, checking out that all was in order in Lochinver, stoney beach rummages at Inverkirkaig, and finally, passing the weel kent roadside rock inscription, a sad reminder of the local practice of carving your name before being sent off in the clearances to the new world. Never did find the main batch of carvings down the stream from the peat road but one day we will, I have a feeling they will more rough and personal than the precise chisselling hand of JM.

The first of the evening games championships kicked off with some full on family scrabble. I won, mwhahaha. Everyone is up for eeking out the day to its very last drop.
