Highly Unsprung

Kylesku, Scourie, sea food and sea creatures.

Kylesku bridge pit stop photo, because we always do, this time taken by Sam, but only after Dave showed him the memorial. Onwards to Scourie bay for the first time, what a hidden gem too easily passed by roadside travellers. The sun came out to blaze down on us for some beach combing, food guzzling and harbour visiting. But then the best discovery of all further north, Oldshoremore beach. I can't believe we've never visited before, locals rate it way more than Sandwood bay which is kind of everyone's destination these days. We will be back to Oldshoremore for a whole day visit one day; that mindblowing beautiful expanse of white sand, flowered cliffs and clear water needs a full day to pay it some decent respect.

Obligatory dinner at Kylesku for the kids to have their favourite seafood dish...though Dave bit off more than he could chew with the crab. After splurging the best part of all our money we walked down to the jetty and gave the restaurant diners and the nearby seal something to gawp at by launching ourselves down on our bellies to peer over the edge of the jetty and stare down into the clear water, teeming with life, those jellyfish were MASSIVE.

I think it was championship darts tonight. I won. Again. Mwhahaha.
