Firestone Copse

The last few days have seen the woods on the Island suddenly come to life with a display of Autumn colour. Although today has been predominantly grey and misty it was pleasant enough for a walk in Firestone Copse with the soft light really making the colours sing.

These extensive woods near to Wootton are well managed with a variety of wildlife and good paths for walking. The only downside are the small number of dog walkers who seem incapable of controlling their animals.
